As you may already know, a lot of Seven Cosmetics' inspirations come from the powerful women of Greek Mythology. Read on to find out about why Aurora's story inspires us....
Aurora is the Roman mythological goddess of Dawn. Each day before morning she mounts her chariot and rides through the sky, announcing the arrival of morning and the close of night. Her cheeks are rose colored, and so are her fingers and arms. Her hair is long, and she is youthful in appearance--on her back are the featheredwings of a bird. She had a thing for young men and fresh faces, so she went through a lot men and had many husbands.
One of her most famous husbands was Tithonos, Prince of Troy and a mortal. Because she loved him so much, she requested that Zeus (the almighty of all gods) grant him immortality. Zeus granted her wishes, but not long after she realized she had forgotten to request eternal youth. As he aged he became more and more undesirable. Aurora felt bad, so she turned him into a grasshopper. Moral of the story--when you are tired of a man, turn him into a grasshopper.
Why We Love Aurora
Aurora was beautiful, young, wild, and free. She loved loving and being in love. She wasn't a player, she just crushed whole lot! Aurora renews herself each day right before morning. She announces the start of a new day, a new chance, a new journey. We love Aurora because her message and what she symbolizes is so positive--each day, hour, minute, or even second you have the chance to start anew all you have to do is make the decision. Don't let the past get you down, change is a beautiful thing.
Be like Aurora and renew yourself each day. Remember, its always darkest before dawn.
