Isis, Goddess of the Throne, inspired our "It Girl" collection. Read on to find out why Isis inspires SEVEN... ![]() Isis is the Egyptian mythological goddess of the throne, and goddess of life. She was an enchantress with the ability to balance mind, body, and spirit making her the goddess of life. She was also goddess of the throne; meaning she was the queen of all queens aka the HBIC. The lotus flower is her symbol, representing strength and power. Isis actually stole her power over life and death from Ra, god of the sun. He was originally the most powerful god, but Isis saw that Ra was abusing his power and hurting the people of the world--so she wanted his power of life and death for her own. One day, she stole some of Ra's saliva and mixed it with mud creating a poisonous snake. The snake bit Ra, causing him to fall ill. Isis offered to cure him but there was a catch--she could only heal him if he would reveal his secret name, which would ultimately give Isis his power of life and death. She tricked Ra, got his secret name and used his own power to heal him. Afterwards, she rose to become the most powerful of all the gods and goddesses. Why We Love Isis Isis was nothing like Ra; she used her powers to help the people of the world, spending time with the people teaching them important agricultural skills that were previously unknown. She was rich and famous, but still humble and down to earth. She was witty and clever, and somewhat of a trickster. Like the above story shows, when Isis wanted something she wouldn't stop until she got it. She realized that if she didn't take control of her own life, no one else would do it for her. Isis isn't real, but her story gives us great inspiration to take control of our lives. SHOP THE IT GIRL COLLECTION NOW!!
